Our local Sustainable Design Consultants are sensitive to the unique culture in Venice Beach and understand the importance of environmental and social responsibility in order to maintain a balance in both the ecosystem and the economy. This network of innovative creatives comes from a variety of backgrounds and experiences in the field of design with one sentiment in common - a passion for sustainable urban planning and a universal understanding that our built environment should be designed according to nature, be socially and ethically conscious, and be respectful of the regions native habitats.

Emily Sumner, LEED GA studied Interior Design at the Art Institute of New York City. With an interest in the anthropogenic impacts on nature, her passion for the natural environment led her to study interior design and architecture through the lens of sustainability and resiliency.
Additional focus on sustainability efforts include involvement with non-profit and for-profit organizations such as USGBC-LA Greenbuild International Conference + Expo Los Angeles, USGBC-LA Sustainable Innovation Awards, LA Green Festivals Expo, Surfrider Foundation Los Angeles, 5 Gyres, A+D Museum Annual Gala, and Green Fashion Week, as well as founding Sustainable Venice.
Emily's career in interior design and focused passion for sustainability, in conjunction with her extensive studies in the science of Ayurveda, she seeks to master the holistic approach to, and the balance between, the natural environment and the built environment that envelopes one daily.
